If some of you are unfamiliar with who LP is, you should get acquainted with her music as fast as you can. Not only is LP an amazing singer, she is also a talented songwriter as well. “Named one of Esquire’s rising stars and praised by everyone from Rolling Stone to Billboard, USA Today to Vogue, LP is a unique young artist whose effervescent performances are fueled by a rocking ukulele complemented by her complex, powerful voice.” –Black Panda PR. She co-wrote Rhianna’s hit song “Cheers (Drink to That)” along with “Beautiful People” performed by Christina Aguilera. LP is just about to wrap up her West Coast tour while promoting her new album, “Forever For Now,” which is available in hard copy or in full on iTunes. See below for more information.
LP graced us with her presence in San Diego this past weekend at the Casbah. Dressed in a suit and tie combo and sporting her mop of wonderfully curly hair, she took the mic. She wowed the crowd beyond belief with her powerful voice and phenomenal lyrics. LP performed many of her fan’s favorites, including “Tokyo Sunrise” and “Into the Wild.” I spoke with LP after her performance and I am happy to report that not only does LP produce beautiful songs, but she is also one of the sweetest artists I have had the pleasure to meet. San Diego is looking forward to having LP back!
