Knott’s Scary Farm is a terrifying treat for young and old. Being the largest and most haunting Halloween event in Southern California, Knott’s has to ensure they deliver bigger and better each and every year. Knott’s Scary Farm features 13 horrendous haunted attractions including 2 brand new mazes and 2 interactive events. Keep reading to get the deets on what’s new!
Shadow Lands: We’ve voted this as our favorite new maze at Knott’s. Featuring demonic Samurais, the maze starts you off picking your destiny…will you chose the left path? Or the right. Demented soldiers wait for you in the depths of this attraction as you make your way through a sacred yet blood splattered shrine, a dilapidated Japanese temple and more. If you aren’t terrified beyond your wits, take the time to observe and enjoy the effort put into this maze.
Red Barn: This attraction has taken over where Pinocchio Unstrung’ s maze has been for years (and we are very very sad about that). If you’ve ever had a fear of flesh eating farm animals, you may want to avoid this monstrosity. The Red Barn is chock full of carnivorous animals just waiting for you to enter through the wood slatted barn walls. Don’t look them in the eyes…dare you anger them, the farmer (who is rumored to have transformed into a horrendous creature) may come out to get you himself.
The Hollow: Be weary Knott’s Scary Farm guests…this section of the park is not an obvious find, but once you are there, you will certainly know. Perhaps it is the headless horseman sitting atop his steed in eerie silence, or perhaps it is the abundant amount of souls of fallen soldiers and farmers that have freed themselves from their graves. Keep your cameras handy, this section of the park makes for good photo opps.
Special Ops: Infected: This is truly the event that everyone has been anticipating. Be warned, you may find yourself waiting upwards of 3 hours to get into this 10 minute attraction. Is it worth it? We’ll let you decide that for yourselves. Once you arrive at your destination, you’ll find a laser gun hurriedly being shoved into your hands and orders barked at you from a general to “Get in line!!”. Guests are broken up into small groups who are guided through different blood soaked environments fighting off violent zombies. Don’t let them get too close…otherwise you may find yourself helpless and without ammo. The park boasts this attraction as one of the largest mazes ever created in the history of Knott’s Scary Farm, so gather your squad, get geared up and get ready to kill some zombies!
Aside from the new attractions, Knott’s Scary Farm brings back some of our favorite mazes including The Dead of Winter: Wendigo’s Revenge, PARANORMAL, INC., Trick-or-Treat, The Tooth Fairy, Voodoo – Order of the Serpent and The Gunslinger’s Grave: A Blood Moon Rises. Also back are the Skeleton Rooms, but this time they are completely separate from their respective mazes. They are set up throughout the park and require a separate Skeleton Room key to get in (purchase required).
